Work nearby and we don’t have enough restaurants in the area so this is our go to place. Love their dim sum and other Chinese meals. My favourite are the deep fried squid, taro puff, deep fried tofu, deep fried squid and chicken feet. They renovated the place too so it looks more modern now and their service is fast, friendly and welcoming.

By far !!! THE BEST DIM SUM in the Lower Mainland or even in BC...I Highly recommended it. They have a big selection on items, very well cooked, delicious....price wise is high in comparison with other Restaurants but it is worth it !!

This place is legit. Definitely some of the best dim sum I've ever had. If you're looking for an authentic experience...this is it. I had the Shu Mai, Soup dumplings, Curry squid, and Pork bun. All were excellent.

Like many restaurants during Covid, Flamingo Chinese Restaurant closed down due to the strict restrictions regarding social distancing. As this has always been one of our fav Chinese restaurants in the neighbourhood, we had been patiently awaiting their reopening and were finally rewarded this week (they reopened on Oct 13th). What you'll find here now is a more limited menu (although they now serve dim sum all day) but they've taken the time off to do a bit of a refresh of their interior and added physical barriers between the tables to ensure the safety of the diners. While we were a bit disappointed that some of our fav dishes aren't on the regular menu, they did say that we could still pre-order them in advance. Definitely going to take them up on that suggestion in the future. Update: We've been back many times and love that we can still get items that aren't on the menu anymore. We usually order in advance for the taro duck (best in the city), oyster hot pot, and the minced meat on egg tofu.

This is my first time coming here after 5 years. They have changed so much. Due to the pandemic, they have minimized their menu and it seems to cater more to western people from the dishes. We called about their lobster on sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf and they were very happy to accomodate us. However, prices have gone through the roof since the pandemic so we did not order it. When we got there, we found out their menu have been minimized. We asked about the other dishes they used to have and the servers said they are happy to make the dish if they have the ingredients on hand. What wonderful service! There are many people like us who love certain dishes at flamingo and would be sad to not be able to have them anymore but flamingo is more than happy to cater to their old guests. We ordered the taro duck and it was delicious. Since it wasnt on the menu, we expected a very high price for it but when we got the bill, it was so reasonable! The eggplant and tofu hot ceramic pot was so flavorful. The chicken salad was refreshing especially with the candied walnuts. I hope to see things flourish again so they can serve the dishes we all love.

I was at the Electronics store next door when I saw this place and thought I’d give it a try. So glad I did. I ordered some cilantro-shrimp dumplings, some fried garlic squid, and some shrimp toast. All authentic and delicious! Definitely want to go back and try some of the other items on the menu.

Awesome dim sum. Super tasty and traditional. Chive and shrimp dumplings were so good. Beef omassum was like tripe and surprisingly VERY tasty. Great bbq pork buns too! Veg shanghai buns were the one that was only ok. Desert: green tea sesame buns, and mango pudding were both great.

We're from Washington-US and have a chance to visit Vancouver, especially have a great time enjoying the good food in this restaurant. My family really like dim sum and can't wait to have it but unfortunately, most of the restaurants in Canada just serve dim sum for lunch but we're not available to have it at lunch time. We tried to call 7-8 restaurants and asked them do they still serve dim sum or not and all of them say no except the Flamingo House restaurant, we're so glad because of that. The restaurant is not too big but looks warm, the food is delicious and worth the price. My parents really enjoyed the food here and said we will be back when we have the opportunity to visit Canada again. Thanks for the good food and good services!!
